Who is she?!

Hailey McAfee is an award winning, LA based actor, director, and writer who feels most at home at home, and second to most at home onstage. Most recently she played Anna Fierling in and her Children, a play she co-wrote with long time collaborator Rosie Glen-Lambert which examines America’s gun violence epidemic through the lens of those who are paid to defend the right to bear arms. A recipient of the International Encore Award, Top of Fringe, and Best Drama, and her Children can be seen at SoHo Playhouse in Winter of 2026.

Before majoring in Theater Arts at UC Santa Cruz, Hailey seriously considered majoring in Literature. Her love for classic texts led her to direct Ibsen’s Hedda Gabler, act in the Greek mythology inspired Iphigenia in Splott, and co-write and act in and her Children, a modern reimagining of Brecht’s Mother Courage.

While she is passionate about the classics, she believes fostering new work, specifically by female identifying artists, is essential and exciting. As part of Inkwell Theatre Company’s 24-25 LAB series she directed two new workshops: The Hostage Situation by Amy Dellagiarino and Diane Nora’s Six Men Dressed Like Joseph Stalin, and she directed the first full production of Here Comes the Night by Lisa Kenner Grissom for SheLA Festival.

While theater is her passion, Hailey has appeared in a handful of short films and one ramen commercial.
